A DISCLAIMER of sorts. ;)

I understand that I lead a different lifestyle when it comes to some choices that we make for our family.  With that being said, I do NOT judge you for the choices you make.

We all try to do the best for our families.

I just wanted to make you aware that my blog is not intended to persuade you to do anything I do; I am doing this merely to reflect on some of the changes I have made in our lives.  Things that have worked well for us through not only trial and error, but a ton of supportive (albeit skeptical) family and friends.  :)  I am not claiming to be an expert on ANYTHING.  So feel free to ask questions and know that I am just giving you my opinion and I can direct you to some good resources.

To end this note, I shall post one of my favorite videos on youtube.  An awesome cover of "The Way I Am" by Ingrid Michaelson.  This girl is only 16!!
"and you...take me the way I am..."

be love.

Sheri, I have to admit that I am not a huge tofu fan. The only way my kids will eat it is in a japanese miso soup I make (tofu, miso broth, onions and spaghetti (or udon) noodles. Since you are meat-eaters, I am not sure if you eat sausage but you could do a tofu/sausage scramble. Brown up sausage and any veggies, add tofu and scramble it up. Add a little turmeric to give it that familiar yellow color. :) I have also added black beans and salsa too...yum!! It is important to use any soy in moderation because soy mimics estrogen in your body which an overload of it can lead to estrogen-induced breast cancer and some other hormonal problems. Now I do consume some sort of soy everyday (we all do...it is in EVERYTHING!) so an occasional meal should be no big deal. Just a heads-up. Keep coming with the questions! Thanks for stopping by!
